Meet the Artist at the Valletta Baroque Festival

The 7th edition of the Valletta Baroque Festival will cover 36 performances on 18 locations between 11 and 26 January. The 7th edition will again be a showcase of top musicians in mesmerizing locations.
New this year is that for a little extra the audience can mingle informally with the performers whilst having something to eat and drink after the concert. There will be 6 ‘Meet the Artist’ events:
- 13 January 2019 after Vivica Genaux is Farinelli at Teatru Manoel in Valletta, performed by Concerto de’ Cavalieri, directed by Marcello Di Lisa with Vivica Genaux, mezzo-soprano. The ‘Meet the Artist’ venue is the Italian Cultural Institute in Valletta. (Book Tickets – Book Meet the Artist)
- 16 January 2019 after Ich Habe Genug at the Church of Our Lady of Jesus in Rabat, performed by Ensemble Zefiro and Alfredo Bernardini oboist and director. The ‘Meet the Artist’ venue is the L’Isle Adam Band Club in Rabat. (Book tickets and Meet the Artist)
- 21 January 2019 after Charlie’s Baroque Angels at the Parish Church of the Assumption in Għaxaq, performed by violinist Charlie Siem. The ‘Meet the Artist’ venue is the San Guzepp Band Club in Għaxaq. (Book tickets and Meet the Artist)
- 22 January 2019 after Bach’s St. Matthew Passion BWV244 at St. John Co-Cathedral in Valletta, performed by the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment directed by John Butt. The ‘Meet the Artist’ venue is the Phoenicia Hotel in Valletta. (Book tickets and Meet the Artist)
- 23 January 2019 after Niccolò Jommelli, Dixit Dominus; Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, Mass in D major at St. Catherine Church in Zejtun, performed by Coro e Orchestra Ghislieri and Giulio Prandi. The ‘Meet the Artist’ venue is the Beland Band Club in Zejtun. (Book tickets and Meet the Artist)
- 25 January 2019 after Claudio Monteverdi’s Missa in Illo Tempore SV205 at the Parish Church of the Assumption in Qrendi, performed by the Cantar Lontano Ensemble. The ‘Meet the Artist’ venue is the Soċjeta’ Mużikali Santa Marija in Qrendi. (Book tickets and Meet the Artist)
The entrance fee for a ‘Meet the Artist’-event is €15, except for the one on the 22nd following Bach’s St. Matthew Passion where the fee will be €25.
