Singer in the Boreal Choir School, Olivier partipates from his youngest age as choir singer and soloist to many operas, conducted by Jean-Claude Malgoire.
At 17, he decides to create a profesionnal choir with the aims of exploring early music repertory. These researches bring him to be interested in the harpsichord that he will study first with Elisabeth Joyé, and then received advices of Pierre Hantaï since 2003.
This is when his choir becomes the professionnal vocal and instrumental ensemble Alia Mens, more specifically turned on baroque music. Olivier Spilmont occures as soloist on national and international stage with Pierre Hantaï, Maud Gratton and the French Concert (Bozar of Brussels, Opera de Lille, Teatro du Vicenza), while occuring on several national and international stages with Alia Mens ( Opera de Lille, Theâtre d’Arras, Salle Bourgies de Montreal, Festival d’Ambronnay, etc…)
